What is a cookie?

A cookie is a standard feature of a website that allows storing small amounts of data regarding your visit to a website on your computer. ElectricFeel uses Cookies as they improve your visit on our Site and Blog, making your experience smoother and more personalised by remembering your preferences. Cookies also make your interactions with our Sites faster and more secure. Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer.

The length of time a cookie stays on your browser is depending on whether it is a “persistent” cookie or a “session” cookie. A persistent cookie is stored by a web browser and is valid until it expires (it has hence an expiry date) or is deleted by the user before that date. A session cookie automatically expires when the user closes the browser at the end of the session.

The majority of the data which is collected by cookies is anonymous, hence it does not personally identify a user. However, some of it can detect browsing patterns and approximate geographical location to improve your experience. Furthermore, it is possible that the personal information that we may have retrieved and stored about you is connected to the information obtained from cookies.

You can disable cookies (see below), however, the quality of your visit on our Sites and Blogs might be lower and some features may not work as intended.

What types of Cookies is ElectricFeel using and why?

Login-related cookies

When you are logged in, we use cookies to remember you log-in details, so that you do not need to log in again when visiting a new page. Since the cookies used are session cookies, they are deleted when you log out.
